Your Name’s Japanese Blu-ray/DVD release will include English Subtitles
The official website for the Your Name anime film announced that the July 26th Blu-ray/DVD release will include Japanese, English, and Chinese subtitles. Also, the release will include an audio track containing RADWIMPS English theme songs. Unfortunately, they will not be including the English dub.
There will be three tiers of the film available for purchase; a collector’s edition blu-ray, a special edition blu-ray, and the regular blu-ray/DVD release. The five-disc Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra Blu-ray release will include video bonus features such as promotional/events, music videos, video storyboards, and making-of videos. It will also be bundled with a 100-page booklet, pocket script, and stickers. It will retail for 12,000¥ (about $105). The three-disc Special Edition Blu-ray Disc release will include the booklet and stickers for 7,800¥ (about $68). The standard edition Blu-ray/DVD will include the stickers and retail at 4,800¥ ($42) and 3,800¥ ($33) respectively.
For those planning on getting Your Name on blu-ray, this is the release we would recommend. With how long it usually takes to an English release of anime films, it could be a year before we see Your Name released by Funimation.
